The Université de Haute-Alsace has 7 research laboratories in the disciplines of Exact Sciences and Social Humanities. The UHA laboratories are present in Mulhouse and Colmar.

Each UHA laboratory is attached to a site doctoral school. The UHA branch manages 7 joint doctoral schools with the Université de Strasbourg.

Like all students of UHA, PhD students benefit from all the university’s services (medicine, libraries, culture, sports, accommodation and catering).

To highlight the specificities of research in Mulhouse and Colmar, the Université de Haute-Alsace has grouped its laboratories into three research fields:

• Chemistry, functional materials and environments;
• Interculturalities: Humanities, sustainable societies and economies;
• Intelligent systems, digital, processes and advanced textiles.
